The event, which is known as the Academy Awards of teaching, was held at the Governor's Mansion and recognizes the state's Teachers of the Year while celebrating the vital importance of the teaching profession. Thank you, Mrs. Mays, for being such a terrific representative of the Panther Nation! You make us proud!
Our talented elementary school students have been working so hard and would LOVE to see the Fine Arts Center filled with audience members this upcoming Saturday, April 27th as they perform Disney's musical Beauty and the Beast, Jr. Showtimes are at 11 am and 3 pm. Another FANTASTIC and FUN enrichment week in Lexington Three is just about in the books! Our students have had the best time the past few days participating in a wide variety of camps including metal detecting camp, Lego camp, cooking with a good book camp, soccer camp, moving west camp and podcasting camp....just to name a few! Our enrichment weeks provide staff members with an opportunity to get to build even deeper relationships with our precious Panthers and expose them to a wide variety of extracurricular activities that they might not otherwise have an opportunity to experience. We also get the chance to help children who may need just a little bit of extra academic assistance. All in all, enrichment weeks are just one more way that we get to show some additional love to the children of the Batesburg-Leesville community. Visit our Facebook page for a ton of pics!
B-L Elementary School held its annual Color Run on Friday, March 15th. Students (and staff 😁) had a wonderful time before the storms rolled in! A special thanks to everyone who worked hard to make this event happen and to our student volunteers from other schools who came to help.
Some of our B-L Elementary School and B-L Middle School Gifted and Talented students are down in Florida attending a two-day space camp at Kennedy Space Center. They also get to visit Sea World before they return home late tomorrow! Join us in wishing them great fun and safe travels!
Today, the cafeteria of B-L Elementary School was buzzing with excitement as Gifted and Talented students hosted their very own wax museum! From the moment you stepped into the cafeteria, you'd swear you were in the presence of the most elite historical figures. From Anne Frank and Abraham Lincoln to Albert Einstein and Taylor Swift, our students took on the roles of these iconic personalities with such enthusiasm. Our GT students are truly so talented! (Pun intended.) Way to go!

Students in Mrs. Shealy’s, Mrs. Norton’s, and Mrs. Smith’s classes are participating in Clemson University’s Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program. Through this six week program, students have the opportunity to participate in hands-on, interactive lessons that teach the importance of healthy habits. Students will learn to choose healthy snacks, develop healthy eating habits, increase physical activity, and practice safe food handling. These classes provide real-world examples and background knowledge for students that tie to the South Carolina State Science Standards.
Today, our Panther students gathered for a delightful Thanksgiving-themed lunch and it was a feast to remember! 🍽️🍁 A huge shoutout to our incredible Food Services Department for always going above and beyond to make sure our students are treated to healthy and delicious meals.
