We are so proud of our Lexington County School District Three Teacher of the Year Nicole Yaworski for being recognized on Sunday at the Columbia Fireflies Teacher Appreciation Night! She was honored with their Neon Apple Award and even got to throw out the first pitch!
Our Board of Trustees took a moment during tonight’s regularly-scheduled monthly meeting to pose for a photo with signs from the South Carolina School Boards Association congratulating the Class of 2026 in Batesburg-Leesville and across the Palmetto State.
What a fantastic day celebrating an amazing school year at the Mentoring Program’s skating party at Celebrations in Leesville! Mentors and mentees, along with their family and friends, came together for an afternoon full of fun, laughter and great memories. It was the perfect way to recognize the hard work, growth and connections made throughout the year.
To make the day even more special, students also received free books to take home and enjoy! Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration such a success. What a wonderful way to wrap up a great year!

This morning at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School, Ms. Autry’s fifth grade class brought history to life with an incredible Wax Museum! Each presentation showcased not only their research, but also their creativity and confidence. See more pics on our Facebook page! It’s been an exciting day at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School as we hosted our annual Spelling Bee! After each homeroom crowned its own spelling champion, these outstanding students advanced to today’s school-wide competition. They did an incredible job showcasing their hard work and academic excellence. Congratulations to our top spellers: • Cooper Dean – BLES Winner (Cooper is in the 5th grade); • Parker Milewski – First Runner-Up (Parker is in the 3rd grade); • Levi Riendeau – Second Runner-Up (Levi is in the 4th grade)

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community partners for investing in our students and their learning experiences! On March 3rd, the Rotary Club generously donated $3,080, sponsoring 20 students for upcoming field trips. Thanks to their kindness, ten 3rd graders will visit Bee City and ten 5th graders will explore Charleston’s Capers Island. On March 10th, the Leesville Merchants Association donated $900 to support upcoming field trips at BLPS and BLES. Because of their generosity, 1st grade students will have the opportunity to visit Saluda Shoals and 4th graders will have the opportunity to visit the State Museum. We are so grateful for the support of the Batesburg-Leesville community!

On Wednesday, March 11th, Lexington Three schools will join schools across the Palmetto State in participating in a statewide tornado drill. The drill is part of South Carolina Severe Weather and Flood Safety Week. This is a great opportunity for our students and staff to practice our severe weather and tornado safety procedures so we are prepared in the event of an emergency. Don’t be alarmed! This is only a drill designed to help keep our school community safe and ready. Safety first, Panthers!

We’re excited to celebrate National School Breakfast Week in Lexington County School District Three! Our schools are serving up special breakfast menus all week long and we can’t wait for our students to join the fun.
Our Love and Leadership Conference on Friday, February 13th was an incredible success! ❤️ We are so fortunate to have such talented staff members in Lexington Three and this year we chose to celebrate that by hosting our own in-house conference to showcase the knowledge, passion, and expertise that lives right here within our district. During last night’s monthly meeting, members of the Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees signed the South Carolina School Boards Association’s Ethical Principles poster in honor of School Board Recognition Month.
Welcome back, Panthers! Lexington Three was humming with excitement today as our students returned to school. The halls were alive, classrooms were abuzz, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see our Panthers ready to learn, grow, and thrive during second semester!
On Thursday, December 11th, the talented cast of The Little Mermaid, Jr. took a special trip to the Koger Center in Columbia to enjoy a festive performance of “Rudolph.” What a wonderful way to celebrate the season and be inspired by the arts!
We had such a wonderful time at yesterday’s Candlelight Lunch at B-L Elementary School! Seeing so many of our Panther families join their students made the day truly special. Thank you for taking the time to share this memorable moment with us — your support means the world to our school community!
Today was an exciting day at B-L Elementary School as students took part in the annual Turkey Trot as part of our PBIS rewards for positive behavior! Students had a blast playing basketball, football, soccer, and so much more. One of the day’s highlights? Getting festive face paint courtesy of our awesome B-L Middle School students who volunteered as part of their Day of Service. (Don't worry moms - those are face paint pens being used...not markers!) We’re proud of our Panthers for their great behavior!
