Lexington Three Plans Wizard of Oz Musical As Part of Its Centennial Celebration

When students from Lexington County School District Three’s class of 2020 walk across the field of Panther Stadium in May to receive their high school diplomas, they will make history as the district’s 100th graduating class.  As part of Lexington Three’s ongoing celebrations to commemorate the district’s centennial birthday, a district-wide performance of the musical The Wizard of Oz will be held on Saturday, March 14th at the Fine Arts Center, with shows being scheduled for 1 pm and 7 pm.  The musical will be directed by B-L High School teacher Lyle Browne.

While students from all four of Lexington Three’s schools will be participating in the musical, auditions for the main roles were only open to students at B-L Middle and B-L High Schools.  (Students from B-L Primary and B-L Elementary Schools who are interested in playing one of the Munchkins or Flying Monkeys will be selected by their school music teacher for participation.)
