Lexington Three Grads Serve As Parade Grand Marshals

As part of its Centennial Celebration activities, Lexington Three set out a few months ago to try to locate some of the district's oldest living graduates in order to honor them.

Two of these individuals, Ms. Corine Johnson and Ms. Marjorie Spears, served as the Grand Marshals of the Batesburg-Leesville Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 8th. Both ladies are in their mid-to-late nineties.

A special thanks to Herlong Chevrolet-Buick for donating the car that Ms. Johnson and Ms. Spears rode in on Sunday. We also thank the B-L Chamber of Commerce for its assistance in the oldest living graduate search.

Once a Panther, always a Panther!
